Well, it seems one of our unfortunate turtle friends has lost his bandanna. I am far too busy to take it to him. Would you like to do so in my stead? I believe his name is Raphael, if I'm not mistaken.

From:

[There's a flare of anger on her end, a breath sucked in a little too fast. Lily's not sure if she'll be able to control herself, but...]

From:

[He chuckles and it sounds amused and downright sinister. Ulterior motives, what?]

Shall we meet by the elevators on deck seven then? I will tell you the location of his room once we get there.

From:

Yeah, sure.

[And she pretty much runs there.]

From:

[And he's waiting, hands clasped behind his back and the bandanna clutched in his grasp.]

From:

[Lily beelines for Ganny, staring up at him as she does.]

Where's the thing?

From:

[Smirk. Smirk. Smiiirk. He holds the bandanna out to Lily.]

He is on deck six. Room 7297.

[Easy enough to remember. Lily's hand closes around Raph's bandanna like a vice, her fingers almost clawlike. Lily smiles at Ganny sunnily and says,]

[before turning to make her way up the stairs. The short walk feels like hours. Too many thoughts race through her mind for comfort. The dog's whispering seductive words of murder that sound better and better by the second, but, Lily reasons, Raph was already tortured. There would be no point in killing him. She can't inflict the same pain that Redd did.

The bandanna feels like fire in her hands.

Lily finally comes to room 7297 and raps on the door sharply. This will be interesting.]

Who is it.

[The voice belongs to someone that sounds incredibly tired.]

From:

[And tired he should be.]

From:

[Lily. Her voice makes him open his eyes and look towards the door. To him, this was a pleasant surprise. He still hasn't met the little girl and had thought about her from time to time since back when she was hallucinating.

He has no idea she has any kind of relationship with Kage, though. Or that she's got a wild animal inside her.

He gets out of bed and shuffles to the door, opening it with a faint smile prepared for her.]

[Lily doesn't smile back. Her anger by far outweighs her sympathy. She holds the bandanna at her side tightly, so tightly her knuckles are turning white. Her other hand hangs at her side, fingers twitching every now and then, as if she's forcing herself to keep them there.]

[Ah. That's tactful.]

[His smile disappears. Instead, he just stares blankly.]

[Not quite a shriek, but not quite normal. She is very, very unhappy with you, Raph. And they were going to be such good friends.]

From:

[He takes a step back in horror at his own actions and raises his hands as if trying to calm her. Or is it defensively?]

I... Lily, I didn't... I wasn't tryin' to kill him. If I had known he...

[She's rambling and she just. Can't. Stop.]

[Raphael isn't scared of her, as he doesn't know what she's capable of. But she's got it all wrong. Raphael never intended to kill Kage. He just... sort of... lost his temper. It happens with him. A lot.

He bites his lower lip, at a loss for words, and rubs a hand over his smooth head.]

No, Lily. If I'd known he had a daughter, that it was you, that... that would be different.

[What kind of guy lets the Captain punish his kid along with the passengers, though? That's bizarre. Of course, Raphael doesn't have a reason to think she's his adopted daughter either yet.]

[He sounds so genuine. Lily is afraid to believe him. She wants to hate him. The beast wants to kill him. Anger, anger, anger.]

[Okay. This is getting kind of weird now. His brow furrows slightly and he takes another tiny step back.]

Lily... I'm sorry... trust me, if I could go back an' stop myself, I'd do it... [Swallows hard and raises his eyebrows hopefully] You gotta - gotta know what happened to me, right...? If you gotta hate me, just... think about that. [Maybe that's the only way he can make her feel better.]

[Lily claws one hand through her hair, the other still clutching Raph's bandanna in a death grip. She does think about that, Raph. She thinks about it all the time. Your screams, Redd's revenge, it's all one twisted lullaby. Lily could leave the recording on while she sleeps.]

Why'd you do it?

From:

[He shakes his head. It's pointless to go over it. It's pointless to talk to her about it at all. It won't change anything.]

[Diverts his eyes as he sighs hard.]

[It feels so fucking stupid just admitting that now, though.]

[It still baffles her. Why do people think there's some magical way to go home? The crew says all the time, no, you're not going home. Some people aren't as easily pacified as Lily, it seems.]

[What's the point of this? There's no explanation for a little girl whose father you've killed, even if you were killed in turn and the both of them came back.
