[He's not the one who killed her father. He also has no idea who Sheik is or what Sheik did in those days. He also doesn't know that they share that singular form. How is he related to the Gerudo King she knows in her own time, she wonders? She wants to ask, however...]
Many find him not worthy of trust, although he is my sole guardian. He is as trustworthy as I am, if not more so.
[He was stopped and taken to the Arbiter's Grounds before he could make it that far. It was almost like they were expecting him. And that didn't sit well with Ganondorf. At all. But no matter. It was only a temporary setback.]
He is secretive. More so than I care for. But if he protects you, I suppose there is something redeeming about him.
[Zelda doesn't get it. She doesn't understand. And if she was confused on how to feel before, she's even more so now. She's hated him this entire time for no reason aside from hearing what everyone else has had to say. She'll have to tell Link later on.
Now that she really looks at him, though, that face, the tufts of red, his overall composure, something is different. They really aren't the same at all.]
He's a good man. He has every right to be as secretive as he would like to be. He treats everyone the same, and he's secretive with me as well. I prefer to think of him as cryptic. He means well, though.
[Even when he's causing trouble. Of course, she might not say this if she knew half of the things Sheik did.]
I've explained it to the boy already. But he seems determined to attribute crimes of someone else, to me. Crimes I simply have not committed.
[He never had the opportunity. That doesn't mean he wouldn't have. But considering the outcome he's learned of this other Ganondorf, he would not make the same mistakes.]
I doubt his animosity was as great as mine. Even if you two aren't the same, though, you're... somehow related to him, which means that somewhere along the lines, you two are capable of the same thing. My anger is likely not misplaced entirely, and surely neither is Sheik's. You'll remain on his tolerant side for the obvious reasons.
[She rises from the piano bench and even standing, he's taller than her. It's intimidating, but he's always been.]
[Friendship. There's an eyebrow tic at that word, especially from him.]
You may be asking for too much with that.
[Everyone else would look at her and call her a fool, and she just has that dreaded feeling that says they'd all be right. She can't give that friendship thing a go. Not yet.
He does garner her full attention with her name, however. It's a good way to grab it too.]
I just don't know what I think about any of this, or about you.
[He simply smiles. After striking a key, he plays a light nonsensical tune.]
Which is why I suggested it was only a foundation. I understand any kind of a relationship between people such as ourselves cannot be rushed.
[He was hoping to gain her attention with the use of her name. It is so rare that he calls people by their given names. And when he does, it is usually to mock them or to show how serious he is being.]
Our conversation has given you much to think about. I understand.
[It's valid. It's surprisingly valid. It's irritatingly valid. She's quiet for a few moments and after listening to his music, lighthearted and not as frightening as he tends to be, she nods once.]
I will consider it, Ganondorf. You are not at all inaccurate. Many things as of recent have given me many things to think about.
[She nods to him and after edging away, she inclines her head respectfully.]
It... will sound strange coming from me, but today, speaking with you, I feel much better than I have for quite some time. As though... it doesn't hurt quite so much. Thank you for spending some time with me.
[That's as close as he's getting to friendship right now.]
[With lifted spirits resting over uncertainty, Zelda bids him farewell and shows herself out. Next time they'll discuss what he seems to want so badly.]

Sheik says that you do not really know me at all. That you only know of my descendant. Well, he implied it. Is that true?
