[Ganondorf's decided to go to Sergei's to eat. His comm is on for a change, since he's heard mention of the Sages. And perhaps he'll hear something interesting.]
[The only purpose Phoenix has when he enters Sergei's is to get something to eat. He likes the place well enough, and perhaps he'll even spend some time talking to Herz.
That all changes, however, when he spots the man who is already there. He's never met Ganondorf, but the description matches. He stiffens for a moment before forcing himself to relax. This is an opportunity, and one he would be a fool to dismiss.
Casually, he walks by the man's booth, then pauses and lifts an eyebrow.]
I don't believe I've seen you here before. Are you new?
[Ganondorf doesn't particularly care to be disturbed. Especially by uninvited people. So for a moment Phoenix is ignored. As a matter of fact, by the time Ganondorf finally addresses him, most would have thought him rude and walked away.]
If you consider six months to be 'new', then yes, I am.
[He chances a glance at Phoenix and doesn't bother to hide a sneer. More people from Jak's world. Why was he constantly being plagued by them? He swears to the Goddess of the Sand that they are much more irritating than Link.]
[Inwardly he's irritated by the blatantly deliberate delay, but Phoenix is putting on a polite demeanor, so he patiently waits for Ganondorf to acknowledge him. When he finally does, Phoenix smiles in response.]
Ah, my apologies. I suppose we've simply never crossed paths. My name is Phoenix. And what might your name be, good sir?
[Who is this man? The name 'Phoenix' doesn't even register in his memory. He has his communicator off most of the time, unless he's making a post, so he doesn't hear most of what's going on. Not that he particularly cares to.]
[He stops, sets his fork aside and looks up at Phoenix. For a moment, his expression is incredulous. And then he looks positively amused. Who is this guy?]
Oh. Her. [snerk] In my defense, I told her to leave me be, before I killed her.
[His eyes follow the length of Phoenix's ears.]
I did not think it would be that difficult to hear me, considering. But apparently she lacks any sense your heathen gods were gracious enough to give you and your kind. I'm beginning to see a pattern.
[Yes, he means Phoenix. And with that, he picks up his fork and resumes eating and ignoring his unwelcomed guest.]
Consider this your warning, then. There will be consequences for your actions, Ganondorf. I can assure you of that. And I do mean more than whatever slap on the wrist Captain Redd handed out.
[He gives Ganon a very dark look, bordering on a glare.]
Something to consider before you abuse your power again.
[Oh the dark look is not missed. Ganondorf is the king of sinister looks. His brow lowers and his lip curls into a sneer. His voice drops to a rather dangerous octave.]
It would be most unwise of you to test me. I did not make her suffer. But you will.
[And with that, he very deliberately turns away to leave. He's still got his ears open for the slightest hint of movement, the faintest crackle of power, but the insult is there, a slap in Ganondorf's face.

Date: 2010-02-20 04:23 am (UTC)I am Ganondorf. Is there something you require?

Date: 2010-02-20 04:42 am (UTC)Require? No. But I would enjoy making your acquaintance.
[The politeness is still there, of course, but there's just a hint of an edge.]
Your name has come up before among others who I know. It would be interesting to see if their stories held any truth.

And don't think Ganondorf hasn't noticed that change in tone.]
Is that so? All good I hope?
[And there's a grin. Of course it's all good.]

Without qualms or regard for consequence, I might add.
