kingofthisworld: († Pride can stand 1000 trials)

[Somehow, Ganondorf knew leaving his room was a bad idea. But he was so fond of deck 13 that he simply had to see how much it had changed. At the sight of the graveyard, instead of turning back, as he knew he should have, he ventured further inside and stopped just shy of the grave marked with his name.

He frowned. That was just an unpleasant sight to see. He knew death wasn't permanent for him, on or off this boat. But it didn't make the headstone any less unsettling. As he turned to leave, the ground beneath his foot gave way and he toppled over, landing in the grave and activating his comm at the same time.

There a few choice swears in Gerudo before he sits up. Then lays back down again. His voice is dreamy, content. Certainly out of character.]

I don't think I've ever felt such contentment before. This is...nice. I think I'll remain for a while.

[Hey princess, have a Link totally on time for once. He doesn't look very happy at the moment, though; he's not smiling and he's pretty pale. Also he's pretty beat up again courtesy of crazy!Kevas but he's got all those wounds bandaged SO IT'S ALL GOOD.

He tries to smile once he sees her, but it doesn't really work out all that well.

Her eyes do narrow at his condition, however.

[...Oh. Well he can't really say he expected her not to mention it, but he doesn't want her to bother over it when she has probably a lot of other things to be concerned about right now, anyways. So she gets a wave of both hands; a very "it's nothing" gesture.

And it really isn't that much; yes, he's smarting pretty unpleasantly, but as before-- he's had worse.

Do you know where the deck of flowers is? If not, I can lead us there.

[YEAH WELL EXCUSE HIM IF HE'S USED TO TETRA'S TSUNDERE ZELDA. He thinks he's getting away with it for now, though, so he lets it drop. He shakes his head in response to the princesses's question; he's been there once with the... um, other princess, and it was really beautiful when he saw it-- but he doesn't know what deck it was on. He's kind of unsettled to think about how warped it may be now, however.]

[He's quite glad she's deciding to take the stairs, despite himself, as he's still not comfortable with the elevators. Besides, if they make haste it shouldn't take very long to reach deck thirteen, and with this in mind he follows her obediently and quickly. His expression is extremely serious; something that almost seems out of place on such a young face, but the expression is at least keeping any of his anxiety from cracking through.]

[Zelda hates the elevators, and looks for any excuse not to take them. The stairs are just as efficient, and besides, you get more exercise when you take the stairs.]

I fear it is not the deck that you remember. [It doesn't take them long, and soon enough they're standing at the entrance of what quite looks like hell to Zelda.]

["Not what you remember" is decidedly an understatement once he sees the alterations of the deck himself. The change is so drastic he freezes for a moment, too alarmed to move forward. He doesn't like it here already, and in genuine honesty, he doesn't know why even he could. Still, he acknowledges that the sooner they complete this task, the sooner they can leave this horrible place-- so he ventures forward, cautious and alert.]

[It's an understatement to Zelda too, if her sharp intake of breath is any indication. She had not done a lot of wandering during all of this, and has not seen many of the horrors the ship has to offer right now.

This is...hideous. It makes her feel a little sick, but she holds her head high as she moves forward with Link and picks her way through the graves.

[Ganondorf's grave is actually not very far from where Zelda and Link are. He's curled up, sleeping peacefully. Look at that smile on his face. Not everyday you see something like that, is it? For the love of Din, Nayru, and Farore, GET HIM OUT.]

[Instinctively, he tries to keep as close by to her as possible; the last thing he wants is for her to get hurt by the hand of his own negligence. She definitely seems more than capable of taking care of herself, but he has to remind himself at the same time that if Ganondorf can be caught by trouble, that definitely doesn't rule them out.

He isn't quite sure what he's supposed to be looking for, but his eyes fall on the names engraved in each slab of stone as he passes them regardless, and he begins to scan the rows. With a start, he recognizes his own name a few tombstones ahead-- forcibly, he turns himself to look the other way, which is the only thing he can think of to hide how disturbed he is. This turns out to be a stroke of luck in its own regard, anyways; he spots the unpleasantly familiar name a few rows ahead.

With a small noise to signal the princess, he points to it and begins to approach it quickly. He doesn't know if this is what he should be looking for, but he has a feeling that he should go check it out: he's uncertain of whether it's simply morbid curiosity or not.

[There was a reason that Zelda had not wandered, and this was part of it. Following carefully after Link, she keeps herself alert and wary of everything. It would not do to stumble and fall into one of these, as it seemed Ganondorf had done. She spies her own, but does not comment and instead glances down when she hears Link.

She doesn't respond verbally, simply nodding and trailing after him. Once they're closer, she murmurs something quiet under her breath, and looks at Link.

[He pauses before he looks down into the grave hole, unable to help himself-- he feels as though he's completely confirming all of his worries and fears if he actually sees the man that's haunted him like a ghost for the past while. He really doesn't want to do it, but he knows whether or not he actually gets a look at the man again won't make him appear or disappear via thin air. It's with this grim awareness than he leans forward to stare down into the hole.

He's a bit confused at first, and the confusion slowly grows the more he stares. He's caught off guard first by the difference in clothing; he very distinctly remembers the robe-like clothing Ganondorf used to wear, and it's a surprisingly strong contrast from what he's dressed at now. The gerudo is as huge as ever though and he can very easily see a smile on his face that doesn't look scheming or evil or insane in any way.

The tight knot in his stomach is reduced somewhat by his bewilderment, but certainly not by much. Now, he needs to worry about how to get someone more than three times his size out of there. Without getting crushed, preferably. He's not too certain of any definite way to do that besides waking Ganondorf up, and he's not to sure he can do that from here... Link doesn't even have a clue if he's a light sleeper. If he's not, this could probably prove to be extremely difficult.

He's pretty sure he can't do anything from here, though; he drops to his knees and swings them over the side of the hole. He makes sure to look up at the princess before he goes any farther, however-- he thinks that this effect could maybe transfer to him too, but he doesn't see any other way to get Ganondorf out of there besides waking him up. Maybe the princess just wants to yell to get his attention?

[Zelda doesn't see any feasible way to get him out besides waking him up, either. Though, from what she has seen and heard, he will not want to get out. He will likely have to physically be pulled out, which Zelda is not particularly looking forward to.

Her brow furrows as she thinks of the best way to go about waking him. Yelling seems exaggerated, and judging by Ganondorf's breathing, he likely won't hear it, anyway.

So, she does the next best thing.

Rubbing the bridge of her nose in frustration as she meets Link's gaze, she then presses her palms together and bows her head before holding them in the direction of Ganondorf's backside and loosing a burst of magic.

[What a wonderful dream Ganondorf is having. He's so comfortable, so warm, so happy. He sighs contently and nuzzles the dirt beneath his head. Though his peaceful rest is disturbed jarringly.

He wakes with a jolt, bolts upright and looks around sleepily.]

[He jumps with a squeak when Zelda uses magic, both because he's not expecting it, and because he's worried that isn't the best way to wake the gerudo up without angering him. He's a bit surprised by her magic as it is; when Tetra was in her Zelda form, she didn't use it at all around him besides the light arrows. He supposes it's not a very big surprise, though, considering who she is. He can't help but wonder how she does that, however... he hasn't learned to use his magic outside of objects, so the idea of raw energy is an interesting one.

But he only dwells on it for a moment, as there's a bit more pressing things to focus on right now. He sits upright, a bit more tense than he means to be. He hasn't any idea what's the best thing to do in this kind of situation, but considering they're here to get Ganondorf out of trouble...

He waves at the man, obviously EXTREMELY anxious, and subconsciously he stops swinging his legs and pulls them closer to himself. He's trying his best not to look apprehensive or wary, even though he is by all means just that.

[Uh oh. Um... he looks at the princess, then down at himself, then back to the princess again. He's having a really hard time figuring out how exactly they're supposed to pull the gerudo out of there. He's pretty sure Ganondorf is way bigger than both of them combined, that's for sure.

Somewhat lost, though eager to offer some options, he pulls out his grappling hook. This has indeed proved to be very useful so far on the ship, but he's not so confident in it this time around.

[She nods to Link when she sees him pull the hook out - at this point, that will be their best bet.

She motions for him to extend it; the easiest way would be to hook it around him, then both of them physically drag him out.

This was going to be difficult, Ganondorf is a big man.
